txt[21]="Close-up of the Valscharts valve gear motion for the 5 inch Britannia. To give an idea of scale, the coupled wheels (that's the big ones) are about 7 1/2 inches in diameter. Unlike the lightweight machinery I now have, I used to have a 2 ton horizontal milling machine which coped with the fluting of the long connecting rods no problem."

Picture taken at Morar station in western Scotland.<br>This loco was ex GNR H3 Class 2-6-0, GNR 1701, built by Kitson as Works No.5351 in August 1921. It became LNER 4701 Class K2 on 8th November 1924 and was named LOCH LAGGAN on 6th May 1933. It was renumbered 1791 on 27th July 1946; BR 61791 on 20th November 1948.
